Collection of personal data when you visit our website

Our homepage serves exclusively to provide information about our practice, our range of treatments and therapeutic and diagnostic possibilities for various diseases. When you visit our homepage, only the data that is transmitted from your browser to our server is collected.

These data are necessary so that you can see our homepage and navigate on it. The legal basis for the collection of data is Art. 6 (1)(f) Basic EU Data Protection Regulation. In detail, the following data is collected when you visit our homepage:

  • IP address
  • Type of browser, its language and version
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Access status / http status code
  • Date and time of the request, as well as the time zone
  • Content of the request and homepage from which it comes
  • Amount of data transferred

This data is deleted when it is no longer required.

Cookies

In addition to this data, we also use cookies on our homepage. These are small text files, which are saved on your computer (in your browser) after visiting our homepage. If you then visit our homepage again, the browser you use sends the information stored in the cookie to our homepage and can thus make navigation easier for you, for example, because default settings are adopted. Cookies are not viruses and cannot install malware or spyware on your computer. They are short texts that are exchanged between the web server and browser. The following types of cookies are used on our homepage:

Transient cookies (temporary cookies)

These cookies are only stored for the time period when you use your browser. These store a session ID, with which different browser requests can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to the homepage. As soon as you close your browser, these cookies are also automatically deleted.

Persistent cookies (cookies with a time limit)

These cookies differ from the transient cookies only in that they are not automatically deleted when the browser is closed, but only after a pre-set time. However, you can delete these cookies at any time using your browser settings.

You can also use our homepage without the use of cookies – the result of which is that some layouts and functions of the site may only work to a limited extent. If you wish to deactivate cookies, you can do so using your browser’s special settings. The best way to do this is to use your browser’s help function to make the appropriate changes. You can generally use the following links to display and manage online ad cookies:

Contact form / E-mail contact

If you send us appointment requests or inquiries via the contact form on our homepage, the data provided by you (e-mail address, name, telephone number) will be stored for the purpose of answering your questions. These data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required and if there are no legal obligations to retain the data. This data will not be made accessible to third parties. Please note that we receive your data from the contact form in the form of an e-mail sent to the practice. The transmission is encrypted. IT experts often tend to remember the principle that what you would not send as a postcard should not be sent by e-mail. Therefore, please do not send us confidential information / data by e-mail or via the contact form of the homepage, but rather use the post or the telephone. Please understand that we decline any liability for unsolicited data or e-mail.

Collection of access data / server log files

The delivery and presentation of content via our homepage technically requires the collection of certain data. With your access to our homepage, these so-called server log files are recorded by us or the web space provider. The corresponding information consists of the name of the homepage, the file, the current date, the data volume, the web browser and its version, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet provider, the referrer URL as the page from which you switched to our site, and the corresponding IP address. These log files do not allow any inference to you

and your person. We use this data for the presentation and delivery of our content as well as for statistical purposes. The information supports the provision and continuous improvement of our offer. If there is suspicion of illegal use of our offer, we also reserve the right to subsequently check the data mentioned.

SSL encoding

Our website uses SSL encryption for the transmission of confidential or personal content from our users. This encryption is activated, for example, for requests you make to us via our website. Please make sure that the SSL encryption is activated by your side during corresponding activities. The use of encryption is easy to recognize:

The display in your browser line changes from “http://” to “https://”. Data encrypted via SSL cannot be read by third parties. Only transmit your confidential information if SSL encryption is activated and if in doubt, contact us by telephone or post.

Objection to e-mail used for advertising

In the context of the legal obligation to publish an imprint, we must publish our contact data. This is sometimes used by third parties to send unwanted advertising and information. We hereby object to any sending of advertising material of any kind not expressly authorized by us. We also expressly reserve the right to take legal action against the unwanted and unsolicited sending of advertising material. This applies especially to so-called spam e- mail, spam letters and spam faxes. We point out that the unauthorized transmission of advertising material may affect competition law, civil law and criminal law. Spam e-mail and spam faxes in particular can lead to high claims for damages on our part if they disrupt the operation of the practice due to overcrowding of mailboxes or fax machines.

Third-party content and services

The offer on our homepage may also include the content and services of other providers, which supplement our offer. On the one hand, this is done with plug-ins, which are software extensions or additional modules that extend the functions of our homepage. Examples of such offers are maps from Google Maps, YouTube videos or graphics from third parties. Calling these services from a third party regularly requires the transmission of your IP address. This enables these providers to perceive your user IP address and to store it. We make every effort to include only those third-party providers who use IP addresses solely for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence over which third-party provider may store the IP address.

This storage can be used, for example, for statistical purposes. Should we

become aware of storage processes by third parties, we will immediately draw our users’ attention to this fact in this data protection declaration. In this context, please also note the following special data protection declarations on individual third-party providers and service providers whose services we use on our homepage. You will also find these in this data protection declaration.

Google Maps plug-in

Our homepage uses Google Maps to display maps and to create route maps to our location. Google Maps is operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. By visiting our homepage, Google receives information that you have called up the corresponding page of our website. This is also done regardless of whether you have a Google account or are logged in through it. If you are logged in via a Google user account while using the homepage, the data will be assigned directly to your user account. If this is not in your interest, you must log out from Google before using our homepage.

Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation takes place specifically (even for unlogged-in users) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about their activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google to do so.

Details on the use of the data and the data protection regulations can be viewed at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
